walking your dogs
How often do you walk your dogs? and how far? Does it vary?
We dont have a set routine, some days we will go to the dog park, which is 1.5 - 2 hour walk there, and the same back, and then a few hours running around in the middle. Other days they will have 1 on 1 walks which include training and a run on the 50ft lead. And other days we will take a wander around the village with all 3 of them, or go to the OH's mums (about half hour away) and they can play with her dogs for a few hours.

Well Storm is pretty easily pleased so hes happy whatever he gets.
He can go without for up to two days which is sometimes at the weekends because I work and Alex cant walk Storm with the two kids. Too much, I cant either.
We walk around the village a lot, there is a lot of field walks (nice weather only) or pavements to walk on when the fields are too boggy. SOme days we go far, others we dont. Depends on the weather and whether I have work to go to soon.
Sometimes we just put his 10 metre lead on and play ball outside the front of our house for 10/20 mins, whacks him out and hes happy after that.
I know people may comment on the lack of walks but as long as he is happy, healthy and not overweight I dont see the problem. I dont think it makes me a bad owner and if it does I could care less what people say! (not you lot obviously)

Rupert doesn't tend to get a lot. Til recently he was on 40 mins in the day and 20 mins at night round the block with play in the daytime but have had to up it now he's doing better on raw
He tends to get about 1.5hours in the day and maybe 20 mins maybe another 1.5 hours later on. The first walk we usually go out in the car, he has a bit of a swim, we run around the fields sort of thing. To go in a straight line there and back its probably only a couple miles but because he plays with Milo so much he tends to prefer meandering along sticking his face in everything. I have no doubt he could go for hours if he wanted to, but he's quite content at the minute.

Re: walking your dogs
Currently Kita gets a 20-30 min walk in the morning before I go to work and another 30min to 1 hour walk in the evening.
Recently we've had 1 or 2 very long walks a week (trip up Bramford with Sid, Newbury park with Sid and Needham lake). If she had one of this very long walks I usually won't take her out the morning after, so she has plenty of time to rest and recover since she is very young

Re: walking your dogs
Jack gets a 30-45 min walk in the morning followed by an hour or two walk around 4 ish usually a sea walk as he loves water and gives him time to cool off.
on days that i cant walk him properly he goes round a family members with her 5 dogs where he gets to mess around as much as he likes.
spoiled i know

Re: walking your dogs
there are two areas opposite ends of felixstowe where dogs are allowed all year, theres felixstowe ferry, (which is where i live)but the current is usually quite strong so wouldnt want them going out too far
and there is right over the other side where there is a nature reserve next to it.
to be honest there is quite a bit of beach left where dogs can go, just not the touristy part lol
