Walking with the Wolves.
Evening all!
Recently I was told about an event, you can do every so often do up in Bedford (about 2 hours away from ipswich) which as the title suggests, is walk / meet / feed a pack of wolves.
The place that does it is a charity setup dedicated to the presevation of Wolves and they have their own pack that they've raised since birth.
This sounds like it could be an awesome day out and If this generates enough enthusiasm and interest I will setup an event here, discuess dates and book it with the charity.
It doesn't have to be anything to soon. The wolves would more likely be active in the colder months, But its entirely up for discussion
From the site:
Wolf walk visit: We only offer a limited number of these visits per year. Please check visit dates for availability. We usually walk our wolves for anything from half an hour to an hour around the land adjacent to the site. To keep up, you will need to be fit enough to walk for about an hour at a leisurely pace unaided (Ie. without a walking stick etc.). This is a visitor-group event and includes a talk by a knowledgeable member of staff about our wolves and about conservation. We usually feed the wolves during these visits and you will have the opportunity to take photographs you probably can't anywhere else. You have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like about wolves (and dogs), what they are and what they do. Free refreshments are available and gifts and souvenirs are on sale.

Re: Walking with the Wolves.
u may find u have to be a member which costs over £50. alex was a member but we never went. we did get sent pics. not that far frm me, maybe an hour or less. there is very stringent rules and i reckon they may be a bit wary of us having dogs as we will smell doggy. If u manage it me and alex will go.

checked a few out, the Berkshire one, says you have to be a member, But AWS (Anglian wolf society) I can't see that you do, Also Its £39 per person.
Though for an extra £20 You get the 1st trip for free and all the other bits and bobs that you get from membership

Re: Walking with the Wolves.
btw, its £69 for non members, £34 for members for the walk, the prices you were looking at were just for the simple visit
Re: Walking with the Wolves.
Damn!
We'd all be better off becoming members then cause I think we get the 1st walk for free! I'm not sure.
I might try and get us a group deal or something
