Gunna have a go at making some collars!
Im gunna get some polypropylene webbing and have a go at making up some dog collars
Im thinking... 2" webbing (can get various colours) and either:
Flat side release buckle collar
Semi Slip collar (with slider, no buckle)
Just need to get the stuff...
Would people be interested (once i've done testers obviously)?? Thinking around £5 per collar

mr awkward. i havent ordered black webbing yet! only ordered red n purple as a tester, will swap the red for black tho!
Dont have any metal buckles yet, struggling to find a supplier I can you a semi slip tho which doesnt have buckles, you put it over the head and then adjust the size once its on

Re: Gunna have a go at making some collars!
i have a brilliant idea!
Loads of people dont like leaving collars on indoors in case their dogs get caught on either each other, or something like a door handle, pups have stranged themselves on collars before so many people now take them off
I can get elasticated webbing, surely if i make some flat collars out of this then they would be a prefect safe house collar? Because if the dog got stuck the collar would stretch and the dog could pull its head out

Re: Gunna have a go at making some collars!
lmao can you see any issues with it? I mean reasons why it wouldnt work??
Re: Gunna have a go at making some collars!
umm not really....
The only thing I can think of is, if its elastic, it works both ways, so it could constrict slightly on the dogs neck slightly.

it would be made to order and be adjustable, so should sit slightly loose on the neck

Sounds like a good idea then!

I don't reckon I'd be as interested in the slider one as I remember Rupert's last half check was AWFUL and would loosen itself even with one quick correction
But the flat collars with a buckle I'd be more keen on

Re: Gunna have a go at making some collars!
i will get some buckles then, can only get plastic ones tho, you happy with that?
Re: Gunna have a go at making some collars!
Can you get plastic ones that have a lock function by any chance?!
I'd be more interested then, his old half check was just shite had to adjust it to get it on and the d rings are not meant to touch when correcting but ended up doing so as slider kept moving
