Got a job, even if it is McDonalds

I'm a student and need a few hours a week permanently but not an awful lot. I went for a job interview for something else a week and a bit ago, thought it went well but didn't get it. Asked for feedback and got told a load of stuff like my high heels and facial piercings were not appropriate, I wore flat shoes and had no facial piercings, wasn't even wearing any earrings

Was really scared of rejection and shaking like anything

But I got it, and any job is fine by me, used to working in catering! Got my volunteer work starting Monday morning (helping out at a riding school for the disabled) and then at 2pm got my Welcome Meeting to sort out I think when I can work etc. The guy who I met was REALLY nice so I'm looking forward to working there, so much better and more professional than the other guy who interviewed me a week ago for another job

I'm a bit in shock I didn't get rejected, even though some people will probably think its an awful job I'm quite pleased

McD's or harrods.....makes no difference,you'll be doing your job and getting paid at the end of it

I used to work at McDonalds... Actually aint that bad, good for a student. Just one thing, if you like Mc D's thou you won't after a few shifts

Actually I reckon I might still like McD's after a while

My ex's parents owned a chip shop/restaurant and I could eat whatever I wanted whenever. Pizza, kebabs, burgers, fish, jacket potatoes, chips etc and there was always something I fancied

But YAY and thanks no one for laughing, loads of people look down on it but seems like the work is really flexible and lots of studenty people there making it fun

A job like that is ideal for you as a student and most people are lucky to even have a job at the moment so dont put yourself down

Trust me, it couldnt be any worse than the job ive got

Indeed it is! Got welcome meeting tomorrow which will be interesting as I have only got half my P45, agency took the employer bit so I have the employee bit. I decided not to work there so they never gave me another P45 and couldn't give me mine back =
