Diary of a foster dog Empty Diary of a foster dog

Post by Sid_Wolf Mon May 30, 2011 7:51 am

Hi there!

My name's Henry, and Im a GSD/Siberian Husky, this is me:

Diary of a foster dog Dscf5254640x480

Today's been a weird day for me... I got in the car with my owners stepdaughter and we went back to the place we went last week, a big park full of dogs, I like it there, but today something was different...

I'd been in the park about 10 minutes, when a lady I'd met last week took my collar and took me over to a group of people and stopped me from turning around to see the people who brought me. When the strange lady let me go I tried to run towards my people, but I couldnt find them! I searched and searched, tried to find a way out, but they were gone

The strange lady told me that I would be staying with her for a little while, as my owners cant look after me any more, she changed my collar and put my lead on. Then she took me for a walk with the other 3 dogs... A WALK! I havent been on one of them for a long time, it was so good!

Now Im with my foster mum at a new house, and the man I met last week is here and so is another lady and 2 more dogs! Everyone is really nice here and they dont mind if I sit on the sofa!

Foster mum says I could do with a really good brush as my tummy fluff is matted and my nails need clipping. My teeth need brushing and I could do with a good bath, I dont really know what this means, all i know is my feet are hurting from the long walk home! Foster mum says thats normal because I'm not used to walking.

Apparently I wont be here for long, foster mum says I have a new home to go to in August, with the lady that brought me to the park! Apparently she is getting a big house soon and I can go and live their with her 2 dogs!

Well this is my diary, I will keep updating it so everyone knows how I am!

Well the other night we went to another house that foster mum said was home, i met another human who is nice too and gave me lots of fuss. Then foster mum got me to lay down and spent forever brushing me, it was a bit sore at times because it was all clumpy. Foster mum said that my coat was really dirty and greasy, so today i had bath so at the moment im still all damp! My claws are shorter too which is much more comfy!

I really like foster mum, i dont want her to leave me so i follow her everywhere so i can make sure she doesnt leave without me! Foster mum says i should have been called shadow!

Today we went on a walk to a place called a bank, foster mum tied me up and left me for 5 minutes, I didnt like it but i was a good boy and waited nicely! Foster mum says i am a star on the lead and walk really nicely

On the way home from the bank I showed foster mum how nicely i could walk and didnt pull on the lead, then we went into a field and I got to go offlead! I didnt go far though in case i got lost and I made sure foster mum didnt leave me and i always ran back as soon as I heard my name. A man on the bridge said I was in lovely condition, which sounded nice!

Here are some pictures of me in the field...
