Sid has had an accident but I am sure she will tell all. Very Happy

Storm has his and I have never had any problems with them other than having to trim them sometimes.

Well i was thinking about getting them removed but wernt sure if they had to be a certain age or wether they would only for medical reasons. My mates dog got his caught and it resulted in a hefty vet bill and a member of his familys dog has had problems with theirs. I might just be over worring but would like to know more... Wink

maybe just me but I dont see the point of having them removed unless there is a real medical reason.

But it is your choice of course, and noone would say anything if you did. Very Happy

haven't really thought about it tbh.

I think if they start to cause her any irritation or problems I'd get them removed, but I will leave them in the mean time

Tbh I think the being clumsy is just a husky trait!!!! Storm is just a big bumbling idiot!!! hes got a porly on his leg and I hve no idea how it got there? Question

having said that not all dogs have them on the back legs. Storm doesnt.

Grey caught his dewclaw (front) in his collar and tore it, ended up infected Sad

Havent removed his dewclaws though, he just doesnt wear collars anymore lol

I would removed back ones, or front ones if they were particularly floppy, but its best to do it young

My golden only has ones on the back of his front legs and has never had any problems. If he did start to I would get them removed, but I imagine its not a particularly nice op and would avoid it unless we had problems I think.

They do look big though!
