Orthodontist at 11.25am

Post by Florence24 on Tue Jun 07, 2011 6:27 pm

Boo hoo! Crying or Very sad

That means my mouth and teeth will hurt lots for the next few days and eating will be hard. I could almost cry over it, I loveeeeeee food too much!!

And yes, I have braces at 19 get laughing lol!

THIS is why I'm poor, its private and they cost a tonne, only on my top teeth too! NHS wouldn't do them and then said I had to have teeth out, but private I've had no teeth out, they're moving well and the brackets are ceramic and clear/white not metal, so its not too bad Smile

But Crying or Very sad for no food! After someone mentioned garlic baguette last night I might go buy one and eat that straight after before they get too sore, wont fancy eating anything at dinner time I doubt Mad

Did your teeth end up as they were meant to in the end, Sid?

I'm lucky in that my ortho is lovely! She is south african I think, really good though Smile

I haven't got a brace on my bottom teeth, its £100 just for the top so I decided I'd see how the top went and get the bottoms done after if I was keen to have them done Smile

WELL I was given a 14-16 month estimate and July 2012 would be 16 months. Orthodontist said she reckons they can come off at xmas, after only 9 months!!

I'm so pleased Very Happy She said my cleaning is fantastic too, but it'd be a bit shameful if it wasn't as Mum is a dental hygienist Embarassed

Will be painful though, she has tightened them up more than she would normally do as they've moved so quick and well. Doesn't want to see me for 8 weeks either, normally 6 weeks!

YAY Very Happy

Prepare for my whinging when the pain kicks in in a few hours! I'm scoffing a roast chicken and stuffing sandwich whilst I can Laughing
